Amanda Nunes puts her UFC women's bantamweight title on the line against former title holder Holly Holm in the co-main event of UFC 239 this evening. ‘The Lioness' was last seen in action at December's UFC 232 event in Los Angeles, where she knocked out Cris Cyborg to become the promotions first ever women's ‘champ champ'.

Nunes retained her bantamweight title via TKO in the co-main event of UFC 239.

After a getting an early takedown, Nunes connected with a head kick that dropped Holm. Nunes followed up with several punches to the grounded Holm, before the fight was called at 4:10 of round 1.

The win further enhances Nunes' already impressive resume.

Round 1: Holm connects with a jab to get things going. Nunes rushes in to return fire but Holm is evasive. Nunes connects with a high kick, Holm blocked it a bit, but it still landed. Nunes scores with a trip takedown, but Holm pops right back up. Nunes connects with a right hook! Nunes lands a high kick and Holm is down! Nunes moves in and lands several shots on the ground. This fight is all over!

Result: Amanda Nunes def. Holly Holm via TKO (Head Kick and Punches) Round 1, 4:10
